Ok, so this is another blatant advertisement, but it will help me, the author of shonkymaps cover some of the cost of hosting to keep shonkymaps free.

Web Hosting Offer

The company hosting the shonkylogic web site offers an 'affiliates' programme, where the I, the map author, will receive a small benefit if someone signs up due to a referral from this site.

I have no problem with recommending this host

Things the I like about them:

• Unlimited data transfers per month
• Unlimited file storage
• SSH access to the unix shell (they want to see your driver's license to before enabling this)
• Multiple domains and subdomains (supposedly unlimited)
• 100 MySQL databases
• A nice web-based management interface
• The online support thing is quite good
• They're sufficiently cheap to keep shonkymaps free for users to download .. for now
  
• The available bandwidth seems pretty good, and certainly better than other cheap hosts.

What I don't like about them:

• CPU usage throttle. They kill your service for 3 minutes if you exceed 20% CPU over 30 seconds (or something like that). Team Unicycle found this out by accident - try and find it on their site.

Anyway, if you want to sign up, and don't mind giving me $US65 towards my hosting costs for doing so (which will help keep shonkymaps 'free'):
