CHANGE HISTORY
==============

V3.51 23.10.2007

Fixed public toilet data so that it displays correctly in Western Australia.

V3.50 10.10.2007

Change rendering of class 3 unsealed roads to make them easier to see on a gps unit.

Added Waterpoints to outback areas (data from GA - don't stake your life on water being drinkable or even available). These have been added as 'blue' navigation symbols as they seem appropriate on a colour screen. Windpumps (windmills?) have been added as 'radio towers'. Completely shonky on Mapsource, but the symbol on the unit sort of looks a bit like a windpump. (ok, so I have a good imagination). Other water sources have been added as blue circles or taps.

Added public toilets (data from gpsaustralia.net). Sorry, I can't seem to make these searchable unless I use the 'tourist info' symbol, (which is also a toilet incidentally). Just too shonky even for me.

Changed the display name of all unnamed 'gravel road' to either 'unsealed road' or 'track' (but some might indeed be gravel roads!)

Added names for offshore islands.

Added UHF CB Repeaters (data from gpsaustralia.net). These are not shown on the gps unit (not on my GPS60CX anyway), but can be searched pressing Find then selecting the 'Services' category.

Upgraded the 'setup' program to the latest version - perhaps it will solve some of the Windows Vista install issues. But don't hold your breath.

V3.40 11.07.2007

Changed Draw Priority of each map series so that it can be selected and switched on/off seperately on the GPSr. Default for previous versions was draw priority 25. Now it is as follows:

Large scale: 21
Full Topo, and topo without contours: 22
Transparent Contours: 23

Higher priority maps are drawn last, and will cover other maps of lower priority. T4A appears to be draw priority 25, and CN6 appears to be 30. Therefore T4A and CN will appear over shonkymaps if loaded concurrently, unless unselected in the map setup page. (Map Setup Select Maps - Press Menu and Hide all xxxxx)

V3.31 27.05.2007

Updated setup.exe to allow installation to the directory of user's choice, defaulting to c:\program files\shonkymaps

V3.30 20.05.2007

Added extra data for waterfall and registered tall trees to the Tasmania maps. Thanks to Aloysius for providing these waypoints. Trees and waterfalls that are named will appear at a slightly higher zoom level than non-named trees and waterfalls, but both are able to be searched in the usual way.

In all maps I have changed the point symbol for a park from a tree to a forest (to allow the differentiation of registered trees). This may appear as a 'point' on the PC, but should appear as two trees on the GPS unit (thats how it appears on my 60CS).

Changed the capitalisation of the mapset name for the large scale maps from shonkyMaps to shonkymaps to match the other products.

Slight mods to the readme.txt and copyright.txt files.

Conversion of the GA data has been fully automated since V2, but there is a significant amount of number crunching, and it still takes approx 48 hours to produce the four mapsets on an Intel Core-Duo T2300 processor (with both CPUs working close to 100%). Just thought you guys would like to know that.

V3.20 08.02.2007

Detailed Map and Detailed Map minus Contours:

Added sand ridge lines, railway stations and sand dunes.

Sand ridges are displayed as thick contour lines, and due to garmin limitations,
will only display the average height in metres of the sand ridge. It is not possible to add other
text such as "sand" to a contour line.

Railway Stations are displayed as 'bus stations'. Garmin does not have a symbol for railway stations.

Changed display scale of homesteads from zoom level 2 to zoom level 1 to avoid clutter

Changed display scale of fences - from zoom level 1 to zoom level 0 to avoid clutter
(Zoom level 0 is the highest degree of detail, and will appear when
the view scale is between 5m and 300m depending on the detail setting)
